Pottery Courses & Workshops
Welcome to Slo Mo Pots! Whether you’re curious about clay, looking for a fun activity, or ready to develop your skills, we have a course for you. We focus on small group sizes and a relaxed pace, allowing you to truly connect with the making process.
All courses can be scheduled Weekly or Fortnightly, based on mutual agreement at the time of booking. Typically, each lesson runs for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Have a Go at Pottery
Perfect for dipping your toes into the world of clay! These flexible sessions are ideal for beginners, a creative outing, or trying pottery without a long commitment. Classes are designed for individuals or small groups of up to 3 people.
Single Pottery Session
- Focus: Try Handbuilding OR Wheel Throwing basics in a one-off session.
- Duration: This single session runs for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Price: $50 per person
- Includes: Tuition, use of studio tools, clay, standard glazes, and firing for one finished piece made during your session.
Casual & Introductory Blocks

Price includes tuition, use of studio tools, clay, standard glazes, and firing for one finished piece per session made during your class. Each session in these blocks is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours long.
Note on Flexible (Pay-As-You-Go) Options: Flexible payment means you secure a spot in a specific, scheduled class block, but pay for each session individually as you attend. By choosing PAYG, you are committing to attend the specific day and time of the class block you have joined for its entire duration.
Build Your Skills: Core Pottery Courses (8 Lessons)
Commit to learning and watch your skills flourish! Our structured 8-lesson courses guide you progressively through both Handbuilding and Wheel Throwing techniques. These courses are designed for individuals or small groups of up to 3 people. Each lesson within these courses runs for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Duration: 8 Lessons Total per Level.
- Scheduling: Lessons can be booked on a Weekly or Fortnightly basis.

Specialist Workshops (8 Lessons)
Dive deep into specific pottery techniques or projects with these dedicated 8-lesson workshops. These courses are designed for individuals or small groups of up to 3 people. Each workshop lesson runs for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Duration: 8 Lessons per Workshop.
- Payment: Paid in full in advance.

Important Studio Information
What’s Included (Standard Courses):
- Tuition in your chosen technique.
- Use of studio tools.
- Clay appropriate for course projects.
- Standard studio glazes.
- Firing for one finished piece per session made within the course scope.
Missed Sessions Policy: For pre-paid course blocks, we require at least 48 hours notice if you cannot attend a scheduled lesson. With sufficient notice, we will do our best to find ONE mutually agreeable time for a make-up session within the course duration, subject to studio availability. Lessons missed without adequate notice, or subsequent missed lessons, cannot be rescheduled or refunded. Flexible (PAYG) sessions are only paid if attended.
